When Life Happens… How do you handle it?

Things were going along real smooth… well, at least as smooth as smooth can be with all the lessons & journeys that I signed up for in this lifetime.

Then whoosh…. a huge hurricane on the tail end of IKE. My ex-husband, well we have been separated for 2 years and just haven’t filed the divorce papers, so I call him my ex. He fainted at work and hit his head unbeknownst to me. He tries to go to work a couple days later and they take him to the ER as he is disoriented.

One wonders about the ER, as I picked him up and his discharge papers said minor concussion. I started knowing there was something wrong with his memory as he kept asking me the same questions over again… Hmmm… I said to myself, has he been drinking (the cause of the separation) well… come to find out that was not it.

To make a long story short, a trip to the ER, admission to the hospital, numerous tests, a hospital doctor trying to release him again without reading his records, surgery on the left cartoid artery which was almost 100% blocked, a stay at the Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, AZ and now to brain rehab. What have I learned?

Residual Income… So, if you’re not working you are still earning income.

Virtual Assistant Backup… this way if life happens and you have to be away, someone else can pull up the slack.

Who your friends are… Those people that when you go through something give you caring words of wisdom & love and are there to talk to when you need it.

I always give my all as a friend and that is why I helped my ex-husband. Though separated we talked 2 - 3 times a month and when someone is down you don’t push them to the curb.

Taking care of yourself through this is VERY important. Getting rest and prioritizing. Reclaiming your power and not letting yourself get sabotaged through the process. Learning compassion & strength all at the same time.

This journey is still in progress and I pray that he will get better. He’s from England and when well enough to travel will go back to Hitchin, England (just about a 45 min. ride from London) where his Mum, Des & Brother Alan live. Family is so important and my life is about helping lightworkers get their word out. They are my soul family and I’m grateful for this.

I had a dream that I was the bachelorette - Knowing that I have to file for divorce and let that part of my life go and just be the best friend I can be.  Letting go of what’s left of the old part of me… Choosing the higher vibration and in my heart one day a new love will be on my path as I’ve learned to love myself and others without giving away my energy.

Such is life… Stay in the Energy of Light!
